The renowned MCO5 Studio in Hilversum, the Netherlands will be the setting for a recording of "Friends, Family, and Lovers - music by Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel, Felix Mendelssohn, Clara Schumann, Robert Schumann, and Johannes Brahms played by Julia Bogorad, the solo flute of the St Paul Chamber Orchestra with Dutch pianist Daria van den Bercken. The album is a mix of original works and arrangements that connect these four artists. Michael Fine will produce the session with engineer Erdo Groot.

Cellist Daniel Dorn returns to the Tessmar Studio in Hannover to follow up on his recording from May 2025 of Bach Suite Nr 2.
Cellist Daniel Dorn returns to the Tessmar Studio in Hannover to follow up on his recording from May 2025 of Bach Suite Nr 2. His will complete his debut album for Paris based Evidence Classics in a programme which brings together J. S. Bach’s Suites for Solo Cello Nos. 1, 2 and 3, works that have been a part of the musician’s life since childhood and which he has already performed in recitals, notably in Hanover and Paris. The project also includes a rarely recorded version of Suite No. 2, in Robert Schumann’s arrangement with piano accompaniment, performed with the Korean pianist Ji-Hwan Hong. This encounter between Bach’s composition and Schumann’s Romantic interpretation is one of the album’s distinctive features. Evidence will release Suite Nr 2 as an EP (Hi-Def and Dolby ATMOS) in September. The full album is scheduled to be released in May 2027. https://youtu.be/CCba3DfuBmE?si=Cr-mseHF0q9lYV88

Michael Fine is back in Henry Wood Hall with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields for new recordings of Beethoven's Symphony 5 and Violin Concerto with conductor Carlo Ponti and violinist Gian Paolo Peloso. Jonathan Stokes is engineering the project.
