Michael Fine is working on three commissions: an orchestral work to celebrate the 50th anniversary season of Festival Mozaic to be conducted by Scott Yoo, a wind quintet for the University of Missouri's resident Quintet, and a concerto for flute and guitar for Texas Tech University's Ensemble Bravura, flutist Alexa Still and guitarist Jason Vieaux, and Philip Mann, conducting. 'Cinema' recorded by violinist Renaud Capuçon with Stephane Deneve conducting the Brussels Philharmonic and released on Warners Classics has sold over 80,000 physical copies, unheard of in these days of digital streaming. Soprano Sarah Traubel made her debut recording with arias premiered by Josepha Hofer, Mozart's first Königen der Nacht. Along with famous arias by Mozart, Traubel also recorded rarely heard arias by Sussmayr, Winter, Righini, Wranitzky and Haibel. Jochen Rieder conducted the Prague Philharmonia in the recording produced by Michael Fine at Prague Crossroads. Jakub Hadraba was the engineer. The recording will be released by SONY Classical.
