    Michael Fine's concert overture Brother Fox - inspired

    Michael Fine's concert overture Brother Fox - inspired by the character in Alexander McCall Smith's Sunday Philosopher Club series - will receive its world premiere concert performance on 28 September 2018 at the Teatro Principal in Guanajuato, Mexico.  Juan Carlos Lomónaco will conduct the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Guanajuato. The overture has been recorded by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra under Philip Mann for release on the Aparte label in January 2018.

    Deutsche Grammophon Korea will release our live recording from Lotte Hall commemorating

    Deutsche Grammophon Korea will release our live recording from Lotte Hall commemorating the debut appearance by the One Korea Orchestra conducted by Maestro Myung Whun Chung with Chopin Competition winner Seongjin Cho.  The program is all Beethoven: 5th Symphony and the Emperor Concerto.  The concert also celebrated the second anniversary of the opening of the hall.

    Michael Fine will travel to Saffron Walden, north of London

    Michael Fine will travel to Saffron Walden, north of London, for sessions with American trumpet virtuoso Paul Merkelo and the Oxford Phiharmonia conducted by Marios Papdopoulos.  Merkelo, solo trumpet of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, will record the concertos of Joseph and Michael Haydn, Hummel and Leopold Mozart.  Michael Fine will produce with engineer Wolf-Dieter Karwatky.

    The world renowned historic Le Madeleine, in the heart of Paris, will be the site

    The world renowned historic Le Madeleine, in the heart of Paris, will be the site of a new recording by Korean pianist/organist Jaehyuck Cho.  He will record music by Bach, Widor, Liszt, and a newly commissioned work by the young Korean composer, Texu Kim.  The recording will be produced by Michael Fine,  Maximilain Ciup will be the engineer.   Cho has a Beethoven solo piano recital and a soon to be released recording of Beethoven and Liszt 1st Piano Concertos with Adrien Perruchon conducting the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, both for SONY.  They were produced by Michael Fine.

    Michael Fine's woodwind quintet Dance Scene received its world premiere performance by the Asian Wind Consort at the, Jeju Cultural and Arts Center, Grand TheatreJeju Island, Republic of Korea.  Members of the Consort:  Takehito Hashimoto, flute; Yosuke Terashima, oboe; Robert Borsos, clarinet; Jungho Chang, bassoon; Seungbum Lim, horn.
